I have spent over 40 years teaching and working in Austin schools. I am a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 5. I consider it an honor and a sobering responsibility to guide the education of Anderson students. I spent 25 years as a teacher at Bedichek Middle School, Crockett High School and Travis High School. I began as an Assistant Principal at Anderson in 2001 and moved to Associate Principal in 2004. In 2012, I had the opportunity to become the Principal at Murchison Middle School. My time as a Murchison Matador is very dear to me as it re-energized my love for the developmental middle school years! In 2016, I was named Principal of Anderson High School and I "came home" to the school that holds a big piece of my heart. Anderson High School's priorities this school year are building inclusive and supportive culture, equity of opportunity for all students and academic rigor through relevance and collaboration.
