About Mrs. Zumwalt:

Mrs. Zumwalt is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in Human Biology. This is her 13th year teaching. Her free time is mostly spent with her kids, who go to Doss and Kealing.


The Health Science Practicum is a weighted (honors), double-blocked (takes up two periods) class open to 12th grade students only. This program gives students the opportunity to shadow health professionals around the city twice a week. Admission to the program requires an application and interview. Application packets are available at the end of January each year. Prerequisites include successful completion of Anatomy & Physiology and at least one other health science course.
