Student Registration

2021-2022 Student Registration 

We will accept complete documentation beginning Monday, February 1, 2021

 

If your child is currently attending an Austin ISD school:

 

ALL students currently enrolled in AISD that are planning to attend Anderson for the 2021-2022 school year must complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out online course selection. Go to the counseling webpage to view course descriptions.
  2. Complete online data verification. Go to https://portal.austinisd.org/ and sign in to your Parent Portal Account.  Once signed in, click on or search for the tile AISD Student Registration.  Please see instructions attached below on how to create a Parent Portal Account and the Online Registration Guide for assistance with the online system. 
  3. Submit the following documentation to the Registrar's Office.  You can email all documents to mary.andrade@austinisd.org or attach documents while completing the online registration. Please upload and attach the documents listed below before submitting the online registration.

 

  • Proof of residence (current electric, water or gas bill or current lease agreement)
  • Parent/Guardian photo ID
  • Most recent report card
  • Online course selection confirmation email
  • Custody documents, if applicable
  • AISD approved transfer letter, if applicable. 

 

Online student data verification tip: 

  • You CANNOT change your address online. You must submit new proof of residence (current electric, gas or water bill or current lease agreement) and Parent/Guardian Photo ID in order to update the address in our system.
  • Please see attachment below for instructions on how to scan and email documents using your smart phone.

 

If your child is NOT currently attending an Austin ISD school:

 

Students who are not currently enrolled in AISD must complete the following steps:

  1. Complete online registration.  Go to https://portal.austinisd.org/ and create or sign in to your Parent Portal Account.  Once signed in, click on or search for the tile AISD Student Registration.  Please see instructions attached below on how to create a Parent Portal Account and the Online Registration Guide for assistance with the online system.
  2. Complete 2021-2022 course selection. Fill out online course selection. Go to the counseling webpage to view course descriptions.
  3. Submit the following documentation to the Registrar's office.  You can email all documents to mary.andrade@austinisd.org or attach documents while completing the online registration. Please upload and attach the documents listed below before submitting the online registration.

Your student will not be enrolled until all 3 steps have been successfully completed and all documentation has been verified by the Registrar. Incomplete documentation will not be accepted. Please see attachment below for instructions on how to scan and email documents using your smart phone.

International Students (NOT attending via a recognized foreign exchange program):

  1. Contact the International Welcome Center at 512-414-6426 to schedule an English proficiency test.  This MUST be done before bringing in registration documentation. 
  2. Complete online registration.  Go to https://portal.austinisd.org/ and create or sign in to your Parent Portal Account.  Once signed in, click on or search for the tile AISD Student Registration.  Please see instructions attached below on how to create a Parent Portal Account and the Online Registration Guide for assistance with the online system.
  3. Complete 2021-2022 course selection. Fill out online course selection. Go to the counseling webpage to view course descriptions.
  4. Submit the following documentation to the Registrar's office.  You can email all documents to mary.andrade@austinisd.org or attach documents while completing the online registration. Please upload and attach the documents listed below before submitting the online registration.

 

  • Forms from the International Welcome Center
  • Proof of residence showing parent/guardian name (current electric, water or gas bill or current lease agreement)
  • Birth certificate
  • Immunizations
  • Social Security Card (optional)
  • Parent/guardian photo ID
  • Online course selection confirmation email
  • An official sealed copy of previous school records, including an official transcript or grade report.
  • A detailed description of each course taken, including the content studied in each course.  
  • Custody documents, if applicable
  • AISD approved transfer letter, if applicable

 

Please note all grades will be converted to the AISD Grading Scale and transcribed according to AISD policy.

 

Foreign Exchange Students (attending via a recognized foreign exchange program)

  1. Foreign exchange students must be cleared through the principal. Ms. Harrison may meet with the Foreign Exchange Program Representative and host parent prior to approval for enrollment. Please bring a copy of the student’s profile.
  2. Host family must obtain guardianship from AISD Office of Student Services, 512-414-2033, before submitting any documentation to the campus.
  3. If entering 12th grade, a certified statement from the previous school stating the student has NOT graduated and has not received a diploma must be provided.
  4. Complete online registration.  Go to https://portal.austinisd.org/ and create or sign in to your Parent Portal Account.  Once signed in, click on or search for the tile AISD Student Registration.  Please see instructions attached below on how to create a Parent Portal Account and the Online Registration Guide for assistance with the online system.
  5. Complete 2021-2022 course selection. Fill out online course selection. Go to the counseling webpage to view course descriptions.
  6. Submit the following documentation to the Registrar's office.  You can email all documents to mary.andrade@austinisd.org or attach documents while completing the online registration. Please upload and attach the documents listed below before submitting the online registration.

 

  • Guardianship packet from District Office
  • Proof of residence showing host parent name (current electric, water or gas bill or current lease agreement)
  • Birth certificate or Passport
  • Immunizations
  • Host parent photo ID
  • Online course selection confirmation email

 

Curbside Registration

 

School days (Monday-Friday) from 9:30 am-3:30 pm.

 

Please pull up to the curb in the circle drive at the front of the school (off Mesa Drive) and text the Let's Talk number listed on the blue signs/banner.  Please remain in your vehicle! We will reply via text to see how we can help you.  You may also bring completed packets and documentation to turn in during these times.  Please see below for what documentation is required to register a student.  No counselors will be available to answer scheduling questions during curbside registration.

 

2020-2021 Student Registration 

 

 

Students wanting to enroll at Anderson High School must complete the following steps:

  2. Submit the following documentation to the Registrar's Office.  You can email documents to mary.andrade@austinisd.org or drop off during curbside registration hours.
  • Proof of residence (current electric, water or gas bill or current lease agreement)
  • Birth certificate
  • Immunizations
  • Social Security Card
  • Parent/Guardian photo ID
  • Most recent report card and/or withdrawal forms
  • Custody documents, if applicable
  • AISD approved transfer letter, if applicable. Approved Out of District Transfers, please email mary.andrade@austinisd.org for registration instructions.

Complete your AISD Athletics Pre-Participation forms online!

Both student and parent/guardian signatures are needed at the same time. There is a tab that includes fillable PDFs of the pre-participation physical and emergency contact cards. Students must still turn in a hard copy of their physical form and emergency contact cards, dated after 4/15/2020, to the AHS Athletic Trainers in order to participate in 2020-2021 athletics
