What is the AHS Baccalaureate Ceremony?
The AHS Baccalaureate is an inspirational ceremony celebrating ALL AHS graduating seniors.
    Who should attend?
All AHS graduating seniors in the Class of 2022 are encouraged to attend with their families.
But I'm not religious or in the IB program, is this still for me?
The AHS Baccalaureate Ceremony is not a religious ceremony (not even a non-denominational one). It is not just for IB diploma or IB certificate students. It is for ALL graduating seniors and is simply an event that celebrates our entire Class of 2022 graduating seniors.
    Why should my family attend?
Seniors will all wear their cap and gowns and process to Pomp and Circumstance. With ample parking and a relaxed atmosphere, this is a great time to get lots of family photos with your senior.
    What happens during the ceremony?
This year, we are thrilled to have Kelly Gramlich return to her alma mater to speak to our graduating class. Ms. Gramlich is a 2011 AHS graduate who went on to play basketball at Clemson University and was named Academic All-ACC three times. She is currently a college basketball analyst for ACC network/ESPN. We will also hear from student leaders and music and songs from AHS band and chorale.
    Will there be food?
Yes! After the ceremony we will have light refreshments and students and families are encouraged to linger and enjoy celebrating.
