GIRLS LACROSSE RECRUITS FOR UPCOMING SEASON
Anderson families, did you know that Anderson HS has a girls lacrosse program? The Anderson girls lacrosse team is rebuilding for the future after the graduation last year of 14 seniors. The Knitros are a combined team from Anderson and McCallum high schools and the program has been in existence since the 1990s. Practice is held from 4:45pm until dark at Murchison Middle School on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. No experience is necessary to begin playing lacrosse for the Knitros, as the coaching staff will teach you the rules and how to play the fastest growing sport in the country. If you are interested in joining the Knitros, log on to
www.knitros.com for additional information. The Knitros begin their 2012 season on Saturday, Feb. 3 against Stony Point HS in Round Rock. Fifteen games are scheduled this season.
The Knitros are coached by Anderson graduate and former Knitro player, Marissa Erhart. Coach Erhart played and coached at Texas State. Erhart is assisted by Coach Caroline Schram. Coach Schram is a graduate of Austin High and is currently a lacrosse player for UT. Rob Sieracki, who directed the Anderson Men's Lacrosse program a few years ago, is now directing and rebuilding the Knitro program. If you have any questions about joining the Knitros, contact Rob at 970-3031 or email
