TROJAN EXCELLENCE FUND, a short PTSA story
It has come to our attention that while we are a GREAT school that has a GREAT PTSA that does GREAT things, there are some of you out there that might not be aware of what some of these GREAT things are. One in particular is the Trojan Excellence Fund.
Our classrooms are one of the most essential "tools" that our teachers have to do what they do best, teach our children. The amount of money from Austin ISD's budget that actually makes it to the classrooms is about $1800 per department. With 2200 students, this amount doesn't cover all the needs of the classroom.
That is where the Trojan Excellence Fund comes in! The money that parents, like you, so generously donate to this fund go DIRECTLY to the classrooms. Last year we purchased science microscopes, geography textbooks, English mythology books, toner, white boards, tap shoes, a storage building, screen for the library, scientific calculators, etc., etc., etc. Because of our parents' generosity we were able to purchase something for every single department!
By making a contribution to the Trojan Excellence Fund, you are directly helping your child and our school community as a whole, thus helping to keep Anderson the great school that it is. This is the only fundraiser done all year for our classroom teachers' needs! Donate today – any amount is appreciated!
To donate, go to PTSA online store or mail a check to Anderson High School PTSA, 8403 Mesa Dr., Austin, TX 78759 (put Trojan Excellence Fund in memo of check). Thank you!
